Update on Baby Ladsen

Ladsen came home Thursday evening! So far so good. He did have to come home with a heart monitor however and will go back to St. Louis for weekly check ups. Thanks to everyone for their prayers and continued prayers!!!

Who are these people?

Today was dress up day at school for Red Ribbon Week. SAY NO TO DRUGS! Everyone was encouraged to dress up. This was not my kind of thing but I tried to be a good sport. From left to right, Miss Maurer - 80's chick, Mr. Dean - surfer dude, Mrs. Price - referee, me - hippie, Ms. Jones - tourist.

Olney Volleyball Senior Night

Whitley's last home volleyball game was Tuesday night. They lost to Charleston in 2 games that were very close. Great job Whitley! I am so proud of you!!!

Taking time to relax....

Kadyn and Hudson went to Duke's house on Tuesday this week because Miss Kimmie needed the day off. Kadyn loved playing with Duke and Sophie for the day!!! He had so much fun that he didn't want to come home.

Baby Ladsen.....what a doll!!!

We have a new cousin again! Ladsen Frederick Walston entered the world on Saturday, September 27. He weighed 8 pounds and 3 ounces with lots of beautiful black hair. He is such a little butterball! He was born with Pierre Robins Syndrome and was taken to St. Louis Children's Hospital. He has many challenges to overcome but with strength, the love of family, and the power of God he will make it. I think the biggest things right now are that he eats on his own without the feeding tube and maintains a steady heart rate. I believe his heart rate is what is keeping him from coming home. He now has casts on his legs from his toes to his thighs to help with club feet. We are hoping that he gets to come home late next week.

Please pray for Ladsen and his family that all goes well.

P.S. I will do my best to keep my blog updated on his progress.

A trip to the Covered Bridge Festival

Surprisingly it was a hot day. I had a lot of luck finding things. I got some new decorations for the house, a few Christmas gifts (it's never too early to start shopping for x-mas), and of course a purse. Adam and the boys went too. That was the day Kadyn started feeling bad and we later found out he had an ear infection. Both of the boys were really good, I would have to say! So we had a pretty good day.

Kadyn wanted to ride the sky lift but he was just a little too short in the britches so we watched Aunt Amber, cousin Lexanna, and Uncle Darius.

As you can see it didn't take much to make the boys sleepy.

New Septic System

Our new septic system is finally finished. Our back yard is now just dirt and I think the hill got bigger. I'll have to post a finished picture later. Here are some of the pictures during the process. Oh....and they were able to put it in our backyard. Oh thank goodness!

Pa Pa Hudson's Birthday!

Long time...no post

Yes we are still alive!

We have been very, very busy. I can hardly keep my head above water with school, driving, the kids, and the usual household chores. Adam is busy remodeling the house and with work. The boys have both been fighting ear infections.

I am having difficulty with my computer loading pictures so it may be awhile before I can post new pictures of the boys (or it could be that I am computer illiterate!)

Just wanted all who have been asking to know a little of what is going on in our lives and why I haven't posted in an eternity. It may be next summer before I actually have time to get back into this. Isn't that sad!!!
